About AP Drone Applications

We are a small agriculture business, based out of Chesterville, Ontario. Established in January 2024, our goal is to provide local farmers with one of the newest technologies in agriculture.

We both come from farming backgrounds, so we personally understand the struggle and frustration that often comes with farming land; Waiting on inclement weather, missing out on important windows for planting or product application, getting equipment stuck in a wet field, trampling crops, field compaction and more. When we discovered that we could help provide solutions to many of these issues, we had to make it happen.

We offer an extensive array of services, including dry and liquid product application, seed broadcasting for cover crop, field surveying and analytics. We are the only drone application company in the area, for now. We are so excited to be introducing this technology into the area, and we hope that we can show farmers it’s benefits and convenience!

Philip Mclean

I have grown up in Chesterville, Ontario. I worked on a dairy farm in the area, where I performed duties as a mechanic, worked fields including discing, planting, and harvesting crops, milking cows and many other things. I also worked as a custom sprayer operator, spraying fields for farmers in North Dundas and surrounding areas as well as driving transport trucks. Because of these two jobs, I have become very familiar with most of the local farmers and the land that they farm. My job as a custom sprayer operator is where me and Austin became friends.

In my off time, I enjoy boating and fishing. I also enjoy spending my days off with my partner and our two German Shepherds.

I grew up in Brinston, Ontario and was born into a large pig and dairy farming family. I have always wanted to be involved in the local Agriculture industry. I studied heavy equipment technology at Sir Sanford Fleming College in Lindsay, Ontario. I also worked as a custom sprayer operator, which is the job that led me to driving trucks and sprayers with Philip. I currently work in the utility construction industry as a heavy equipment operator and technician.

I have two young kids, and in my off time I enjoy camping with my family, snowmobiling and videography.
