Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Drone spraying is authorized to apply aerial labeled chemicals in Ontario. Our team is trained, licensed, and compliant with all Transport Canada and Ontario pesticide application regulations.
-
Insurance is required for anybody operating an agriculture spray drone. Currently, insurance is being provided for drones by companies out of western Canada.
-
Yes. This is one of the biggest advantages. Drones don’t touch the ground, meaning:
No ruts
No compaction
No waiting for fields to dry
If your ground rig can’t get in, the drone can. As long as it is not actively raining, the drone can spray before and after rain.
-
Depending on product, field shape, and wind conditions, our drones typically cover 25-55 acres per hour. Larger fields with fewer obstacles are faster; small or irregular fields take slightly longer.
-
We offer full training on all drone functions, technology, and the online platform.
If you buy your drone through us, that training is included at no extra cost.
-
Yes. Drones are equipped with lights and sensors that allow safe operation in low‑light conditions. Night spraying can be ideal for certain products and weather windows.
-
Pricing depends on acreage, product type, and field conditions. Most jobs fall within a competitive range compared to ground rigs.

We manage drift using:
Low spray height (2–4 m)
Downward rotor airflow
Proper droplet size
Weather monitoring
Drift control products

You need a valid Transport Canada drone pilot certificate, which includes a comprehensive online test and an in-person flight review.
You also need a proper pesticide licence. Farmers using the drone for personal farming can have a growers licence, and any custom work (any work done for anyone other than yourself) requires the exterminator 2 licence.

7-10 minutes. We always have 3 batteries going during a job: one is flying with the drone, one is charging, and one is fully charged. This ensures minimal delays to wait for a battery to charge.
